With interactive exercises and small group discussions, 21/64 will help participants reflect on their vision for the legacy they want to leave in the world in order to then practice facilitating that same conversation with donors, listening deeply to what the donors have to say, and reflect back what they hear. The session will allow attendees to explore how multigenerational family philanthropy and other endeavors can be enriched as elders communicate their legacies to the next generation who, in turn, begin to clarify their own voices and become peers at the philanthropic table.
Picture Your Legacy: A simple and accessible, yet powerful tool to help users uncover who they aspire to be as funders and enable the group to arrive at a vision for their philanthropy. The deck of image cards also helps visual learners whereby participants tap into their right brain, utilizing creativity and emotion. In particular participants choose cards and then describe and give language to what can be a previously undescribed concept; thereby accessing self-awareness, group understanding and an expression of goals and aspirations for family philanthropy in an efficient and effective manner.

Cost Free. If two or more representatives from your community foundation attend, you are eligible for mileage reimbursement, up to $100 per community foundation.
Idea Implementation Grants Attendees are also eligible to apply for Idea Implementation grant funding (up to $2,500 per CF).
